Find answers to all your wedding-related questions in our Q&A section! From dress code details to venue logistics, we've covered everything to help you celebrate with ease.

When should I plan to arrive and depart?

We recommend flying in Friday morning-afternoon, as our Welcome Party is on Friday evening! We also recommend departing on Sunday afternoon to early evening, so that you can join our Brunch that starts at 10AM. If your flight departs a little later, we have a Pool Party at 1PM!

Where will I be staying?

Spring Island is a private, gated community in a remote location. There are about 350 member-owned homes, and many of them have guest cottages. The Streep family will assign you a cottage to stay in for the weekend. Please keep in mind that this is someone’s property and not a hotel, so please be respectful! We are asking that all guests please contribute $150 to a cleaning fee after your stay.

Do I need a car?

While we will be providing transportation to and from the evening events on Friday, and Saturday, we do recommend renting a car. While you may get lucky with an Uber from the SAV airport to the island, it is not possible to request an Uber to the airport from the Island, or an Uber around the Island. It may be efficient to rent a car with a group of people attending the wedding, if logistically feasible for your party.

Can I just drive to the Welcome Dinner or Wedding Reception?

We kindly ask that you take the provided shuttles for your safety and convenience. Spring Island roads are dark, winding, and often frequented by wildlife. Additionally, there is very limited parking at the venues. It is easy to get lost, but our shuttles are familiar with the area and will ensure you reach your destinations smoothly.

What is the food situation?

On Friday and Saturday mornings, you are welcome to go to the Golf House for breakfast; they accept credit cards. There is also complementary coffee and cookies at the Gathering Room by the River House and also the Golf House!

Friday Lunch: You are welcome to go to the Golf House for lunch; they accept credit cards.

Saturday lunch you can go to the Golf House (where they accept credit cards, if you haven’t heard). Additional food options will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.

The locations of all of these food attractions and options will be included on a map in your welcome bag and shared with you upon check-in.

Please note that there are no bodegas, corner shops, CVS’, grocery stores, or other commercial opportunities on the Island! We will keep you fed but do recommend stopping for any must-haves or snacks on your way there from the airport! There is a large shopping center right outside of the SAV airport with a Publix and a Walmart, and a Parker’s (large gas station) right at the entrance of the Island that can provide a last minute stop.

What is Spring Casual Attire?

For our Welcome Party on Friday, the attire is Spring Casual. This is in a dressy or smart casual lane. Our event is outdoors and the weather is set to be warm, but it can get chilly by the water. We recommend a block or wedge heel for ladies, as the ground is uneven and pathways to buses are dirt or gravel. Please no jeans or crop tops. We look forward to enjoying cocktails, a taste of the Lowcountry, and great music with you at Bonny Shore Gazebo!

What is Spring Formal Attire?

For our Wedding Day, the attire is Spring Formal. We recommend that the gentlemen wear suits and for the ladies to consider long (midi/maxi) dresses or fun cocktail dresses. Have fun with it! All of our wedding day events will be held outside, but it can get chilly by the water. We expect wonderful temperatures and sunny skies! We recommend a block or wedge heel for ladies, for your comfort on dirt, gravel and grass throughout the evening.

Are children invited?

With love, and respectfully, no. All of our events are for adults only.

Where can I direct questions about the weekend?

You can send Jonathan or Natalia an e-mail at anytime.

Our planner, Emily DeLoach, is also available to you and can answer everything for you. She can be reached at emily@sincerelyyoursevents.com or 615-483-2848.
